Alex brings extensive experience across specialist neurological care, along with a clear, people-focused philosophy that aligns closely with our values.
Throughout her career, Alex has been driven by a deep belief in helping people achieve their best potential - whether residents or colleagues. She is passionate about investing in people and building teams whose curiosity, commitment and shared purpose lead to meaningful, lasting outcomes. Her leadership is grounded in effectiveness rather than efficiency, encouraging “curious and constructive teams” who ask questions, challenge ideas and work together to find the right solutions.
Alex’s approach to care is shaped by powerful experiences: seeing a resident smile for the first time in decades, or supporting someone over many months to gain independence, secure a home and move from 24/7 support to just a few hours a week. For Alex, these moments are the real measures of success and a reminder of why person-centred practice matters.
She is committed to developing services where person-centred care is lived - not just prescribed - and where respect, individuality and meaningful relationships sit at the heart of daily practice. As she often says, if she cannot directly help someone, she will always try to signpost or connect them with those who can; building trusted relationships is, for her, a cornerstone of good care and good leadership.
