Inspire Neurocare launches new Neurobehavioural Pathways in Basingstoke and Southampton

Inspire Neurocare has launched a new Neurobehavioural Pathway at its services in Basingstoke (Meadow View Neurological Centre) and Southampton (Anchor Point Neurological Centre), responding to the increasing need for specialist support for people whose neurological conditions are accompanied by behavioural changes. This new pathway provides a vital level of care for individuals who often fall between traditional rehabilitation and long-term nursing provision.

The pathway is designed for adults living with a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including:

  • Neurodegenerative conditions such as Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease

  • Acquired and traumatic brain injuries resulting from trauma, stroke, subarachnoid haemorrhage, tumour or anoxia

  • Complex dementias including Frontotemporal Dementia and Pick’s Disease

  • Korsakoff Syndrome and Wernicke’s Encephalopathy

  • Other complex neurological presentations requiring specialist assessment, behavioural support and structured therapeutic routines

People frequently experience cognitive, emotional and communication changes that can lead to changing behaviours that require additional support, making access to specialist behavioural and therapeutic support essential for their stability, wellbeing and long-term outcomes.

Built around a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework, the Neurobehavioural Pathway combines behavioural expertise with neuropsychology, nursing, therapy and consistent relational support. By understanding the function of behaviour and creating structured, responsive routines, the pathway aims to reduce distress, improve emotional regulation and increase meaningful engagement in daily life.

This expansion strengthens Inspire Neurocare’s offer in both Basingstoke and Southampton, giving commissioners, referrers and clinical teams a dedicated option for people with significant neurobehavioural needs who may not be suited to traditional placements.

Services in both locations are now accepting enquiries and referrals.
